Tech Article vs Barons directions? 4 Months ago
The weather was rainy here all day and I was on the plus side of honey do list...so I had a little time to dispose of the AIS and install my BAK, that I have had for a couple months.

It only took 2 Land Shark's to get the job done.. LOL

My question is.

The Jetting tech article says "Do not use the washer under the spacer as was on the stock needle."

The Barons directions say to replace the OEM spacers and washers....

I have Cobra Speedster Longs w/baffles

I set the needle at the 5th grove and the main is 172.5 (per directions)

So.....what is a man to do.....it seems to run ok. I haven't road tested yet, the weather is crappie.

You're running good now but you're way rich. It will catch up to you in the form of carbon and fouled plugs. And I don't think you will be happy with your mileage either. Keep the stock needle setup and just move a groove or add washers under the spacer. That's just my opinion.

olskool the white spacer and washer should go back on the Braons needle just like they were on the OEM needle. If you follow these instructions then you sould get it dialed in very quickly. After must trying when I did these instruction I got it right. http://www.baronscustom.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1344

I installed the BAK on my 06 and followed the directions in step 4 to (4. Reinstall the OEM spacer and washers as shown in the figure below.). Just fine tuning pms now.

rode a little over 300 mile today in all types of driving..running a touch fat...before I do the suggested accelerator adjustment, I might move the clip to the 3rd grove has suggested by Musky.

Re:Tech Article vs Barons directions? 4 Months ago
This is way off topic but here I go!
Not bad on the settings but might drop to the 3rd clip?? Hint Hint input welcome . Currently running 4th with washer and spacer and after turning pms out to 3 turns from 2 1/2 the carb spitting is all but gone. Running about 38 - 40 mpg depending if I stay out of the throttle . Just did AIS removal, waiting on floorboard relocaters from billjr, and looking at moving fuel pump (when curt gets time ). Switching oil out to a synthetic 20/50 but running 1/2 can seafoam thru a tank of gas first. Just to clean things up a bit before changing oil. Just recently started using Lucas treatment at gas fill ups. My 06 currently has 3200 miles on it.

Thanks to all who have helped with my posts, pms, and questions in general. Love this place!!!!!!
