Throttle Lag 5 Months, 1 Week ago
Recently purchased an 07 Roadstar 1700cc. Has a lot of throttle lag. Local dealer told me that it was just the nature of the beast (exact words). Does anyone know how to do away with this problem?

Any mods done on the bike? You could try tweaking the accel duration screw. Might help. Accel screw

The only time my 07 has any throttle lag is when it's still cold, after that I've never had a problem with it?

What do you mean?

Free play in the throttle or when you twist the throttle there is a hesitation?

No modifications to the bike. What I mean by throttle lag is when I twist the throttle sometimes the engine will cough or sputter. Not only when cold but warmed up also.

Yes the bike is a bit cold blood so if you try and twist it when it's cold it will choke.

If it's choking when warm then try Musky's accel pump suggestion. Turn it in 1 turn and test out.
