I used the Baron's jets. Left the idle jet stock. Changed the main jet and needle to Baron's. What I found is that the bike get really finicky when you're getting close to the sweet spot. You can get to a point where you're too lean and the performance is pitiful. You make a small change to richen it up and it's the difference between night and day. Running close on the mixture, though, means you have to be ready to tweak the PMS screw when the temperature changes as the air is denser in the winter and you need a little more fuel in the mixture to account for that. All in all, though, the outstanding performance you can wring out of this bike and the excellent gas mileage is well worth the minimal amount of tweaking that's involved!

Subject: shifter mod
dvblair: Has anyone cut off the heel portion of the shifter? I never use it and would like to have the extra room. I would like to remove it but it looks like you would need a spacer on the shaft and I'm not sure ...
