jetting 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Hi guys,I have a 2005 roadstar midnight and here is what I have done so far, V&H long shots, removed the fuel pump and went with a 2.5 on the float needle, main jet is DJ175 and the pilot is DPjmo37 with Dynojet needle on the 3rd from the top and the mixture screw out 3 turns.
The bike starts with out the choke, just a couple shots from the throtle, also I'm burning a little rich on the plugs other than that ,the bike works good but I would like to get the plugs burning better, so there's the question should I drop the needle to the second groove on the needle or try to ajust the mixture screw in.

Thanks

Second groove on the DJ does not do much if the bike is setup properly.

To properly adjust the PMS, turn it in slowly until the bike stumbles then out until it stumbles. Halfway between these two points is a good starting place for the PMS.

Check your float level, it may be too high.

Put the stock #35 back in.
