I just installed some quite baffles in my 3" HK now I get a loud backfire through the Carb just when I hit the gas but not every time is it to lean or rich and will the accerator screw or pms adjust it?

Usually means lean.
PMS should be adjusted using the in/out technique to find the spot where revs are the highest.
You might want to also turn the accelerator pump screw in or out 1 turn and see which works better.

I had the same problem after I put on my bubs, ported intake, dyna & jet kit. I found that if I turned out my pms a half turn it fixed the problem. The thing is that it increased a different problem, when I am riding at a steady no load rpm approx 2000-2500rpm in second or third gear. The bike seems to miss almost like one cylinder is cutting out? I think its a jetting problem to due with the idle circuit & main, but carbs are my weak area. I have temp improved it by running 92 0ctane (with 2oz of seafoam)& turning the pms in until it just starts to backfire tru the carb & then turning out 1/8 turn. ITs running better & has lots of power, but that miss is bugging me.

mine has backfired though the carb since the day i took it home from the dealer and it has been back.they tell me that these bikes are known for doing that.actually thats how i found this website in a search to try and figure it out.and it ony happens when you are gonna downshift and you crack the throttle fast.i have no clue but i am learning more everyday.

Hello!
As good OL' Musky pointed out to me when I first got my R*, these bikes do not like to be "Blipped", meaning quick crack of the throttle! That may be some of the issue!
