Just installed V&H Longshots, BAK air kit, Baron Jet Kit and removed AIS. Using 175 mj, needle on 4th groove and 3.5 turns out. Theres a noticeable hestitation when coming off idle then the bike roars to life.

You may want to adjust your accellerator pump. IMO
You can find the info in the tech section.

I adjusted it but the cam just below the screw doesn't make contact until about 1/2 way through its movement, which seems odd. I would think the cam would always be touching the screw (blue one in the tech sec pics)

Did you follow any certain procedure when you jetted? Or are those the settings the kit told you to use?

Make sure you have no air leaks on the intake or exhaust. And make sure your float level is good. Start with the 167.5 main. Have the 170 handy. Set the clip in the 5th groove from the blunt end. PMS at 2 1/2 to 3 turns out. Do the WOT. If the main checks out go to the 4th groove and tweak the needle and PMS from there.
