#109733 daglassguy (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 65 Changed pipes change jetting? 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago   I have a 2001 roadstar. I put Baron Nasty habits (no baffles) BAC, and a barons jet kit. The Bike ran like a scalded cat and I ran a fairly consistent 48 to 52 mpg. I recently changed to vance & hines shortshots staggerd. The bike now seems to be running rich. The plugs show a fairly good burn, but the pipes are black and sooty. My mpg has dropped to 32 to 40 mpg. If you had rejetted for pipes with no baffles and now have pipes with more back pressure, you may need to rejet to compensate. Believe this had a 165 main in it originally. When I got the BAC and jet kit, was changed to 170.
