Thinking about purchasing the above mentioned unit for my 2003 roadstar silverado however am hesitant due to the opposing views.One side swears by it the other complains loudly about lack of RD and absolute lack of tech support!Wondering if any member has had any comments or experiences with the above company or product if so please share.Thankyou

Your timing is perfect! I just updated the info regarding the Maxair in the Vendor section. Check it out.
Anyway, yes, get one. I have one and love it. I'm averaging 43-45 MPG since the switch and my Road Star has never run better.
Personally, I think the MaxFlo offers a great look, a great fit and great performance, all at great price.
Now, I will say that I am a personal friend of the owner, but Lee and I weren't always friends. I started out as a potential customer, with lots of questions. With Lee's help, I completed the installation myself and learned much about my Road Star along the way.
If you want one, please place your pre-order soon. The current stock is shipping within the next several days and there's a limited supply.

I have a MaxAir Maxflo on mine, and I also use their PMS. I mainly bought it because I like the looks alot, but I also like the way it fits under the edge of the tank. Allows me to stay tucked in when the wind gets rough. Improved performance, but not sure if anymore than other air kits on the market. All in all, I'm satisfied with mine, and if something happened to it, I'd buy another one.

CoachDan makes a good point. If you buy the MaxFlo, get the MaxMix Pro PMS, too. It makes adjusting the PMS SO much easier.
Also, contrary to public opinion, use the MaxFlo jet kit and follow the directions TO THE LETTER! You'll thank me later...

I get a kick out of some of those discussions. Most air kits are beyond the point of diminishing returns on a Road Star. I can only think of a couple of exceptions and the Max Air is not one of them. Your not going to notice huge differences between aftermarket airkits on your bike, so get the one you like and want. The big difference is losing the stock air kit.
I had the Maxair and really liked it. I have had others I really liked too.
If you use the Maxair jet kit you will need to get plugged into their forum for tech support. It is quite a bit different from the most common ones (Baron's and Dyna) and the jet sizes and clip settings others use with the more common kits will most likely not be the same as what you will need to use.
The MaxMix screw is a nice touch. Makes adjusting the PMS real easy. If you don't end up getting the MaxAir kit Baron's sells something very similar to the MaxMix.

This is a place where we exchange experience and information. Not sure I would recommend that folks not pay attention to that. That said, I have never seen anyone around here say 'not' to follow the instructions in a MaxAir jet kit. So not sure what your talking about 06.
