Dynojet people are on drugs. A DJ 180 would be a good place to begin; but that's the one they don't include. I also wasted my money on a DJ kit.

Don't forget, it isn't just the jet size. They also include a new needle... and it's of a different diameter as the stock needle.

You must change the jet AND the needle!

The combination of the two gives you the greater fuel flow.

I went with Dyno's instructions explicitly, used the third largest of the four jets in the kit, and it came out perfect.

Hi , I have just installed a Cobra Power pro 2 into 1 Pipe and a K & N filter in the original Box . I too was confused as to which stage instructions to follow re the Dyna Jet kit . the instructions dont give parameters for making that choice so phoned Dynajet and they told me to use stage 2 ( the 200 ) My dealer , Dreamcycles of Ottawa told me to use stage one ( the 175 I believe ) dont really want to do this twice but if I have to .....DOES ANYONE KNOW the size and length of the Float bowl screws so I can replace with socket head allen screws and pick them up in advance . Looks to me like changing the main jet AFTER replacing those screws without removing the carb from the engine should be do-able !
Still time to ride up here in the frozen North .

I used the DJ kit as instructed and I was getting about 30 mpg. It ran great, but that wasn't going to cut it. Doc said to try a 180 main.

I called DJ service, told them what I needed and the put it in the mail. NO CHARGE.

The bike runs great and I am getting about 43 mpg. I would like to get 50, but I am not that concerned. I am happy.

I am not saying they will always mail one out for free, but they did mine and I was amazed.

Deerslayer,
if you start with dyno's 190, and their needle... leave the stock pilot jet in and adjust your pms.. you should be ok, just watch for carbon build up. Run her up to the rev limit once a day minimum, check your plugs after a few good trips.. order the 185 and 180 from dyno will cost about 14 shipped.
and will only take a minute to jet down if you are running rich or having other rich running issues.

the 190 is a tad leaner than the stock main but the dyno needle feeds more gas across the midrange, so it will run richer in that area.

I posted it in another thread a few months ago. I got 4mmx12mm (I think)but they were a tad long. Get 4mm x 10mm.
Or, if you haven't buggered the original screws you can get a JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards?) screwdriver and that will fit correctly.
