Re:dyno jet spec 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Well , 270 kilometers Sunday with dyno 175 main jet and stock pilot jet at 2 turns out , and the poormans mod . Got 49.5 miles per imperial gallon ...not bad on hilly twisty turny roads . Plugs do look a little too white though after run and The exhaust had that mid range honk which Ive discovered is worse at too lean settings , will install 185 jet as soon as it arrives . Also installing kuryakin Twin Velocity air box which I found used . I will report the results if anyone interested .
Kids bought me a Kuryakin Drivers backrest for this opld mans birthday last weekend . Really nice piece of gear but found a used Mustang with built in Backrest so I will sell the Kuryakin unit . Will attempt to post it on classifieds .

that kury air box will let a lot of air in, the 185 will help but the pms will most likely want to be adjusted again too keep it from stumbling when you hit the throttle.
do you still have the ais pump system. that will give you about half of the decel pop noise, when tuned right you will get some decel pop and going a step richer will make it go away if you don't like it.

I did the Dynojet Mod as instructed , inserting the plastic Plug in the hose leading to or from some emissions canister device up front . They had no explanation to offer for that Mod. so Im not sure if that disabled the AIS or not . Will dig out the manual tonight . Oh This weekend after I ran the RPM's up to almost the limiter a few times there was little to no decel popping for rest of the day . Its not that hard to figure this stuff out , just takes time and patience I think . Hopefully this discussion might save someone else extra time to get it right . I did discover with a Long 3/8 extension 12 inches ior so and one of those universal joints on the end before the Spark plug socket . You can get the Front left plug out for inspection with the extension up between the tank and the upper frame member .......carefully !!

that plugs the air intake for the ais, and will stop most of the decel pop, you can later get the kit to block it off and get rid of all the junk cluttering up the engine front, it was pretty easy to do.

Thanks All , Still working with it but Great ride in this morning anyway . By the way , Cobra power pro hp 2 into 1 Pipes set LOOKS great but SOUNDS Lousy .... Cobra no help , but solution on its way from Big city Thunder . ...ie a 1+5/8 in. thunder monster Baffle in Both Head pipes followed by replacing internal megaphone and bafle with a 2 inch straight pipe with or without an additional thunder monster inserted as needed. I want to insulate the Space between the Muffler body and the 2 inch pipe but not sure what to use . ( to eliminate or at least control the resonating can effect ) Any Insulation advise appreciated .AND if anyone can explain to me how to easily find my last thread when I open up the forum site ........and how to start a new topic Id be able to stop cross threading so to speak . Lastly can anyone tell me what the HP and Torque specs are for a stock 1700 04 to 07 at what rpms and what peak RPM is . ?? Sorry moderators I will do better once I figure out how .!!

There is not enough space to effectively do much but you can try using baffle wrap ... found at the local dirt bike shop.

if anyone can explain to me how to easily find my last thread when I open up the forum site

Click on your name on the bottom of the page. In your profile, select the Forum tab and then click on the first post.

..and how to start a new topic

Select a Forum. On the top left side you see a New Thread button.

Id be able to stop cross threading so to speak . Lastly can anyone tell me what the HP and Torque specs are for a stock 1700 04 to 07 at what rpms and what peak RPM is . ??

Go to the Star site, Accessories, Speedstar ... the have the Dyno runs for the various setups.
