I was getting low 40's until the dealership jetted it to rich (IMO). Now I have been getting about 37. I plan to re-jet and hope to get some of the mileage back...........

I also get around the 40 mark around town give or take depending how I have been riding. I have pulled 50 a time or two running at 70-75 with a touch of seafoam in the tank. We ran from Colorado to Florida and back this summer and riding two up and FULLY loaded ( wifey can pack the snot out of a bike) I averaged right around 44-45 for 4600 miles

I've had my roadie for almost three years and I get about 42-45mpg. I run the 87 octane with a shot of Seafoam about every third tank.

37 is good overall I get 35-36 in town, and 45-46 highway running 70-80. It depends on how many miles you got on the bike, type of oil dyno or syn how much blipping riding style any number of things like how much stuff ya got to catch the wind. I always looked at it like this I get what I get and it is always better than my Dodge truck (11-13 mpg) and heck of a lot more fun.
