#123557 Rayjay (User) Senior Boarder Posts: 236 Re:Speedstar V102 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago   I'm scratchin' my head a little and want to know if my rationale is correct: When you have a stock air intake box, the intake air and forces within the carb provide a certain air/fuel mixture based on the jetting/flow and engine demand. When one adds a BAK or the like, the intake air supply volume available to the carb throat increases due to less resistance in the box. This results in a leaner air/fuel mixture due to the (1)increase in air volume and (2)less negative demand on the fuel supply due to the lower internal carb air pressure.
