copper fuel line 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago
Can I use copper tubing as a fuel line or will the fuel corrode it? I see it all over the custom show curcuit. But what about long term effects? -Ted

I don't think it's a good idea, especially if you ride also during winter.

i have definitely seen it done, dont know about coppers properties, but if you do use it make sure you dont hard mount it, have to use rubber hose leading into the copper so it doesnt snap from vibration

I've seen copper oil lines , but fuel....... Fuel doesn't freeze , so that is a non-issue , but I'm not sure the line could handle the gas from a corrosion standpoint. A little FYI on copper , I work for a commercial plumbing co. and can tell you that copper won't even stand up to urine. We plumb urinals with brass for the first few feet , as the urine eats through copper. Just a thought. BB

So, if you install copper lines, start with brass in-case somebody pee's on your bike...

You have to use Bright Annealed Seamless Copper Tube for fuel lines.
