#126084 woodster (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 90 What are the symptoms of running lean? 3 Months, 1 Week ago   Having read many of the posts and articles about rejetting, I have become concerned about running lean. I know the symptoms of running rich, but how do I know if I'm running too lean? I've heard that pipes blue up if you are too lean, but I have heat shields and can't see em anyway. Do I have to pull the plugs to get a reading on this? If the whole plug is pure white you are too lean. Seriously I just wanted to know if it could be running too lean without me recognizing the problem. And it runs fine except for a little bit of a flat spot at low rpms. Will let you know. I'm going to ride out the last of our decent weather up here, then when I put her away for the winter I'll change oil and replace air filter then.
