If by performance including suspension,...

A fully adjustable front and rear system, including damping and rebound with pre-load adjustment, would be very nice.

Really, its almost essential considering the WIDE physical demographic of riders the own them.
Mine will be ridden solo most of the time and wouldn't mind the capablility of stiffening up the ride for theose "Spirited" rides, but still able to soften things for just cruising or two up riding.

Seriously, I'd like more cornering clearance. This bike handles so sharp within its very limited limits. I'd love to be able to lean her over about another 5 degrees or so before the boards drag.

Anyone know of a floorboard mod that will do that? Raise them or move them in a bit?

Perhaps, landing of some sort.

Seriously though.

Your right. I have mine extended and raised but they scrape way too easily.

ONE change? That's easy. Trade in on a V-max (or the puniest sport or even a standard bike). My old CB650 Custom was quicker, faster, and handled tons better (or at least several hundred pounds better). 65 Horsepower and 700+ lbs! C'mon! A dorky new diesel pickup is quicker!
Cruisers are slow. Everyone may as well get used to it. Hence: cruiser; not sport, performance, super-, etc...
Performance mods on them seem like putting lipstick on a pig.
"Performance Cruiser" "Miliary Intelligence" "Jumbo Shrimp" ... Hey, how about we hijack this into an oxymoron thread?

Maybe a 42 flatside?
I'm pretty happy with what I got so
any changes I made that might of increased performance where done to increase gas mileage, like pipes, rejetting, k&n air filter.
I wanted a motorcycle that would cruise all day at 85 and still putt around town. I not only got that but it looks and sound nice too.

Forget what onrecess said. I want a cruiser... but I want my cruiser to look better and go quicker than the the next cruiser... so you have to start with a RoadStar, as the other jap cruisers just didn't nail the right look to begin with. Then, since yami choked up the intake and exhaust, and made it too quiet, you have to open those up.

From there, you can go in any direction, and the sky's the limit!
