But wouldn't better throttle response and an improvement in acceleration be considered an improvement on performance? After reading your reply I'm going to have to look in to a flatside. Although my 33 tooth pulley helped soome. A 31 will give you quicker "out of the hole" acceleration, at the expense of higher cruising RPM. A 33 will drop your cruising RPM, while giving up some quickness.
