Maybe a 42 flatside?
I'm pretty happy with what I got so
any changes I made that might of increased performance where done to increase gas mileage, like pipes, rejetting, k&n air filter.
I wanted a motorcycle that would cruise all day at 85 and still putt around town. I not only got that but it looks and sound nice too.
The flatslide will not get you a whole bunch more in HP or Torque, but what it does do is give you more response from the throttle, and with several different needles and jets, it can be tuned better than the orig....acceleration is a noticable improvement...

Which is all stuff I really didn't know.
I just mentioned the flatside cause I've heard it mentioned here so often.
But wouldn't better throttle response and an improvement in acceleration be considered an improvement on performance?
After reading your reply I'm going to have to look in to a flatside.
Thanks for that info Flashback.

Geez, I was only playing. Half the fun of a cruiser is making it "yours"- faster, louder, flashier, or whatever...

I agree, a 6 speed. Although my 33 tooth pulley helped soome. A 6 speed with a 31 pulley - Awesome!!

I could really get exited about a 6 speed...I rode my neighbors new HD Low Rider and that made a believer out of me. Really fast out of the hole and low rpms when cruising...gotta love it,and I am not a harly fan!

Re:Whats the real differance 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago

The different pulleys alter your final gear ratio. A 31 will give you quicker "out of the hole" acceleration, at the expense of higher cruising RPM. A 33 will drop your cruising RPM, while giving up some quickness. I cruse much more than stoplight drag race, so I went to a 33 tooth.

Me, too. Added about 2 mpg overall. Perfect since I'm a tame rider and do take longer road trips.
