Junior Boarder Posts: 188 Sometimes hard to start 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago   I have this issue that has crept up with my bike lately and I'm trying to determine what it could be before I start buying parts. I've noticed now that sometimes when I hit the button to start it, it cranks freely and fires. Other times, it cranks, stops for a second, then keeps cranking slowly, then fires. Motor temp is not a factor. It will do either one with the motor cold or hot. Battery is new. I'm wondering if it's my starter, or the decompression solenoid going out. That's why I thought maybe I had a part wearing out.
