Pilot Mixture Screw 5 Years, 4 Months ago
Apparently finding the PMS on a 1700 is easy, but I have a 1600 and the exploded view of the carburetor does not show a PMS. I'm installing a Kuryakyn Twin Velocity Plus air cleaner/jet kit with Cobra Speedster Slashdowns. Per instructions, I've put in a 205 Main jet, added a .020" shim to the needle and a 1.5 pilot air bleed. I would love to dial it in, but don't know what to adjust. Any help out there? Thanks in advance!

The 1700 and 1600 have the same carb.

Does the PMS have an alternate name? Why can't I find it in any break outs?

Usually if you follow anyones jetting instructions you'll end up rich.

Scroll down about 1/3 of the page and there is a real good pic of where thePMS is.
