I used this article I just took it further on both sides. Based off of your first pic on this post you still have at least one hose to take off the carb. There is the one on the front left of your picture that gets removed and left open, and there is one on the backside that gets removed also. This one requires a vacuum cap unless your kit came with one. Mine didn't, but I love an excuse to go the the auto parts store.

The two short open ended hoses on the left side of carb (facing the carb) stay on and don't get plugged. They are vents.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions and help. It's a new day, I have slept on this problem and I will tackle it today with new energy and hope to be able to resolve the problem in not to long a time frame.

As a native Californian now living in Pennsylvania, I can say with confidence that yes, you just can't beat California Girls (which is why I have one here at home), but your vehicles sure have a lot of extra crap on 'em!
