Ever wondered about elevation on trip 3 Years ago
I had a nightmare at Daytonna a couple years back. I went from elevation of 1100 to sea level. Well if you need to know weatherunderground give elevations based on city . A bonus is hourly weather fairly accurate but it's the weather!

What was your nightmare? I ran from here ( Colorado mountains) to southern Florida with no probs. I had my friends at the shop jet it for the ride since I was gonna drop about 6000 ft. Ran so good, even here, I didnt bother to jet it back.

During the day bike ran great at night around the sea bike would cough choke spurt spit. I had tranny work done before I went and had them set it up for Fla. I was so bad one night that it reversed spun and the starter nut came off. I had to be in the nicest end of town. Cops check on me a biker stopped and offered me a knife. Must of had 20 people ask me for money. My buddy had to go to new smyrnia to get a trailer. Fun times fun times. The dealership rejetted when they fixed the starter. Inland FLA. it would run just fine. Still confuses me. The dealer doing that was nice so was the bill for a seven dollar part during bike week. It was like 175 hr. never again tool go with me.

So if I'm reading that right, you had your bike jetted for the lower elevation and it still ran fine at the higher?

I have the opposite problem... I'm at about 2000ft, but regularly ride up to Big Bear,CA - about 7000ft - my bike pops like crazy.
