Am I too rich? 7 Years, 2 Months ago
At least not in the money department. LOL.

But seriously, here's what I did,
2001 silverado, Ported manifold, HK 2.75 pipe, BAK w/170 main, 5th place clip pos. 3.5 turns on PMS (washer's and spacer as per BAK instructions)
AIS removed, seperate Crankcase breather. Dyno3000 (34a, 5000rpm)

Bike seems to running ok, using the choke to warm-up for a couple of minutes, a burp once in a blue moon from the carb. Idles fine once she is warmed. No hesitation nor stumble with acceleration. The only thing that is bothering me some is the fact that I lost about 6 to 8 miles per gallon. I think that is a lot, considering I went only one jet size (originally 167.5) and the clip was 4th pos.

Do I need to go back to the 167.5 and same needle specs??

Post edited by: comtek, at: 2005/03/27 07:30

With the BAK and HK you cannot go back to stock setup; it will run like crap. Been there, done that.

I think the 170 is OK. You may want to try and go to 4.5 on the needle. Try 4 first and then go up. You should have better mileage but not notice much of a drop in performance at 4.5.

The 3.5 on the PMS sounds a bit much. Are you sure it needs to be out that much?
