smoke 1st, warm it in the wind, if it is at the correct idle speed, it will seem like its idling too fast, you wont have that lopedelope sound, i choke it fully, give the throttle 3 twist, hit the starter, let it warm 15 or 20 secs, push it in half way ride about half mile push in in and go, i have made it a habit to shut the fuel off when i stop for more than a few minutes at the time seems to hep also
