I pulled the bottom of the carb off while it was still on the bike, attached a clear hose from the drain. I turned the gas on and watched where it went up to on the hose. I pulled the two screws I had holding the bottom on and adjusted the float, put the two screws back on and re checked the level, when I got it right, I put the other two screws in and closed the drain.

That was the easiest way I could come up with.
