Musky thanks

I played a lot with the throttle tryin to make the clever lever cruise control grip ...its very finicky but you can get it to work playin with washers etc

Not sure she will work once on the road...

I can only say the R* had a difficult time if she was flooded real bad..its now a must to change the oil....I think the plugs wiil be OK

So you were twisting the throttle a bunch of times with the motor off and the petcock on? Shame Shame Shame!

OK. I'm done. Glad it's running good for you again.

I have been using OMC 2+4 fuel conditioner all the time in my outboard for years, swear by it, I have regularly used some as a stabilizer in the lawn tractor, snowblower, trimmer etc.. Put some in the bike in the fall and it took a bit at -8 celcius but it fired up with no drama. Used it last year to sort out a buddies Harley and there were no signs of any varnish or crap in the carb when another buddy tore it down. Marine mechanic friend put me on to it and have had great success. Also helped out last year when I picked up some gas/ water at a lnearby gas station. R*'s are heavy after 2 km's of pushing.

I'm curious how that clever lever works out for ya Pop, let us know once you get some miles on her.

Musky, I'm surprised you had trouble with Sta-bil, I use it in my boat every year and have had good luck with it. In fact, after my ride today I uncovered the boat and fired her up, ran like a charm. Boat's carbureted too. Last time it ran was probably early November. I was worried I ruined the battery cause I forgot to take it out when I winterized and covered the boat. I was too lazy to uncover it to get at the battery and remove it. Sounded fully charged when I turned the key, Interstate Marine battery, pretty good product.

It might have been a fluke but I never had that trouble with Seafoam so I'll stay with it.

First time I used sta-bil in my bike last fall... some of you guys remember the time I had with it. carb was gummed up. I did use an older bottle, dont know if that had anything to do with it. but the R was running like crap.. 1 cyl., backfire. Shock treated with mmo made it better but I did have to take the carb apart and clean it. Perfect now.
