Question for all you carb and jetting experts 2 Years, 6 Months ago

I recently added Cobra Speedster Slashdowns and they sound GREAT!!! It seems that the MPG is a little off, yes I know the standard answer...staying on the throttle longer because it sounds so good...but do I need to adjust the PMS setting..

Setup before the Cobras

Baron BAK

Baron Jet kit:

Main jet: 170
Needle clip: 4th groove
Baron's PMS screw: 2 1/4 turn out

exhaust: stock drilled to Stage 1 (8 holes)

Only thing changed was the exhuast - adding the Cobra.

Another interesting thing, when I took the stock exhaust off, the front cylinders exhaust head pipe was ash colored and the rear cylinder head pipe was black (soot).
