rejet for Mr. C. .... 2 Years, 6 Months ago
I only have the cobras on the bike now, .....stock needle with a 182.5 stock main. Also the stock air box. It runs perfect. But I know I can get a little more out of her. I wanna put the Mr. C back on but I wanna leave the stock needle and big Mik. jets in. Where should I start?? Would it be a radical drop in sizes? I have most of the big Mik. jets, just was hoping to hit it close the first time.... (the more tinkering , the less riding). Anybody running anything like this setup? I do have the adj. needle and all the DJ jets but I dont wanna put them back in.

If all you changed are pipes, then no reason to re-jet, maybe at most a slight tweak to pilot screw. However, you say bike is running perfect, nothing to do then. there's nothing more you can get out of this beast unless you do a different after market air kit, port the manifold too. Don't understand about the putting the "Mr C" back on?? Also, very rare that you hit the jetting spot on the first go round, not unless you are using some sort of diagnostic equipment.

I had the Mr C on before along with the adj. needle, and DJ jets.. I just basically put it all back to stock except the pipes. I know you dont need to jet for the pipes only, but I'm putting the Mr C back on and I will need to rejet. I just want to stick with the factory needle and jets. Just wondered if anyone has this type of setup? If not, oh well..I'll just start changing them till I get it right...its been done before.

BR , with the Mr.C set up , it would be similiar to a Baron's BAK set up. So..........It would be safe to jet yours like a BAK. BB

I'm not sure... but I don't think you'll be able to keep the stock needle because I'm not sure you'll have a main jet large enough to match it with the K&N filter. I would suggest that you use the aftermarket needle with the clip on 5 plus the MIK 167.5 or the DJ 175 main jet and start doing the WOT test until you get it right. It isn't that hard; it just takes a little time. And we're here to help.

You should have just went straight to the source. I hear that Mr. C guy is pretty cool!

Click on my avatar and then "My jetting" and you will see where I ended up.

I also have Cobra pipes along with a ported manifold.
