Thanks, and man, you can go to HD and get home faster than any man alive!

Where should I run the pms at, 3 1/2 ? Is that going to help or hinder my idle?

Remember everyone, my pain is your gain (keeps telling himself that).

Well, I was afraid you were going to say that!
I should be shot for being so cheap, and I have just put off the buying of such an expensive farkle, but I guess that is not the best move.
I love the look of the BAK, how is it in the rain? How much POWER did it give you?
I bought a barons jet kit, installed it as if I was running a BAK (poormans), and got horrible gas milage. Horrible!(30mpg from 42)
Was that your experience as well? You are completely satisfied now?
I know, more questions that your wife throws at you on a daily basis, but hey, what are friends for?! BB.

In the rain the BAK gets wet along with the rest of the bike and the rider.

Power wise - I did the BAK and porting at the same time and I did notice a difference. Can't give you exact numbers but the smile factor went up 3 notches.

With the pipes, BAK, and porting I went from 30 to 44 mpg.

Yup. Satisfied. I am going to get an Amsoil filter for it because it doesn't use filter oil.

Don't got a wife. There are 8 women at work that are constantly bugging me with the STUPIDEST QUESTIONS about the most TRIVIAL CRAP.....ahem. Anyway. I'm not married.

Oh yeah. If you buy the BAK you'll get the jet kit with it so you can just sell your old, or new kit.

Post edited by: Musky, at: 2007/04/01 09:40

HD did not have the things I wanted.

To find a good setting for the PMS, turn it in slowly until the engine stumbles (the revs will decrease) then counting the number of turns, turn it out until it stumbles. Halfway between these two is a good place to start.

Remember .... idle set to 900 rpm.

Hey BB

If you want to mess with the stock needle maybe Curt will send you the adjustable stock needle out of his Wild Star carb.
