With the stage 3 mod, nothing changed but the sound. When I went to the bak, I went from 1/2 to 3/4 throttle cruising on the highway to 1/3 to 1/2. When I did the stage 3, I tried using a drill bit for about 3 minutes and decided that it sucked. Thankfully I have a snap-on air chisel and a 16 or 18 inch flat chisel bit. took me all of 10 minutes to cut out and clean-up each muffler. I used 2 prybars back to back to wiggle the little pipes loose. The air chisel beat a drill anyday when it comes to that mod. Now I have a set of V&H short shots. I don't recommend them unless you like to wash the rear of your bike every week. Erbman? 2 turns? Sounds lean.
