Thanks for the info. I've got the 42 on the bench and cleaning it up a bit and checking it out. I think I can put my stock choke cable on it, there's the same nut type setup for it, I will check as soon as I can get back into my shop....work first, play later I'm gonna do the tps mod got the info from here: Click on HSR42 tps adapter

That's strange, when I try to open that tps pdf file on that page, it says the file is damaged and cannot be repaired..

There is also a difference of what side of the carb the throttle linkage is on. I picked up a 42 HSR for cheap, but because the linkage is on the left side of the carb as you look at it, The guy on the RSR couldn't/wouldn't do the TPS MOD for me.

I don't know whats up with that. I've only read where 2 people had carbs like that. Don't know if that is due to being the sporty model or maybe an older style 42? I have read somewhere, sometime, that there was a change to the carb, just don't know what the change was either. I'm going by what is in the tuning manual. You can call Mikuni, I've talked to the head tech a few times.

I was just sharing that tidbit. Please don't think I was aiming any frustration at you or the RSR. I just had to laugh when I found out I was all by myself and would be "TPS MOD"less until I got off of my but and attempted it myself. BTW the model of the "Evil Twin" is a TM 42-1...
