If you want to really let the big beast breathe like it should, ditch the stock airbox and get a BAK or a Speedstar air cleaner assembly, or turn the stocker into a Poor Man's BAK and get a K&N filter element at least. Of course, when you do that, you DO need to rejet, but you WILL notice an increase in performance. Just pipes, no rejetting required.

As far as tone of pipes, replacing the air filer setup really won't make much of a difference to any pipes you have on.
