Running like a top 1 Year, 8 Months ago
Hey guys, Doc and everyone else who gave me advice on the jetting. Took it for a drive yesterday, did the WOT test worked like a top, pulled the plugs this morning and they are burning purfect, front and rear. So my final settings are DJ main 175 stock pilot, needle 4 grove from the top. and fuel mixture is 3 1/4 turns out.
You know how hard it is to get the plug wrench in to get the plugs out, well if you a 18mm box end wrench, it will fit in and you can loosen the plug, then take a piece of 5/16 gas line, cut it to about 4 inches and it will slide down over the plug and you can easily unthread the plug it goes in as easy as coming out, you can remove it hot or cold with out burning your hands. I'm going to include these items in my tool kit.

Thanks again

Charlie

Sturgis is a long way to go for you.

You can crash in my backyard when you're riding through.

Charlie--

What's the elevation where you live? Those are almost my exact settings, and I'm at 5,600 feet. I take it you're at some altitude since those are fairly lean settings?

Thanks,

Don't continually mess with it. You need to be content with your settings like Curt.
