Crazy carb question!? 5 Years, 1 Month ago  
I, like many others, over think everything. How's this one....when you add a new air cleaner and rejet....does that by itself change the loudness of the bike at all? (other than the sucking of air into the right side)

You've probably noticed the change in sound between warm and cold weather days. I believe it's probably due to the density of the air which in turn changes the sound. Same thing may happen if you change the jetting a lot.

All speculation here.

I don't really know about the loudness, it seems to have given my bike a different tone. It may just be the sucking sound. I like that though reminds me of my first car. I had a 69 nova with a 250 six banger. Single carb with a 2 speed power glide transmisson. I would turn the breather lid up side down to get that sucking sound. Man would that thing wind out in first gear. I think I am going through my mid life crissis...
