I put one in last summer.

I slid clear tubing over the knurled knob that hangs down to the engine so it won't fall out.

I also marked it with Magic Marker so I can adjust it with my little fingers.

I have the PMS screw and the Maxair air cleaner/jet kit on my bike.Love both.I have the screw in without any tubing or such and it has been fine-no movement and easy to adjust if needed.

JUMP! It's great! What a saver! Tune as you go! At stop lights with a Air cleaner that allows access.
I filed a slot on the side of it to indicate where it is, And also one slot on the top (Or bottom as installed) That way I can FEEL where it is while I am adjusting it. Do this before you install it with a cut off tool or file.
Cut one on side, and 180 from that cut a single slot on top of screw, this way you can not turns and 1/2 turns.

Get one!

Great addition. Like Rayjay, I added fuel hose to mine coming out by the idle speed knob so that I could adjust it easily.

Got one, love it, Streach out spring a bit before install, Seems to get real loose feeling at around 3 turns out or more.

there's an old one too, that was made too loose and the turns did not equal the turns of a stock screw, that I understand is not made anymore.

Personally they made no sense to me, if there are no issues, no air or vacuum leaks, jet sizes are correct, and once pilot screw is dialed in, it doesn't need to be touched unless drastic elevation change or extremely cold temp riding. the pilot screw is not meant to be adjusted on a daily basis, it is set at idle on a fully warmed engine.

I think that the point is the ease of adjustment with the fingers instead of fumbling with a small screwdriver etc. I don't expect to have to fiddle with it once the "Sweet Spot" is found. It is just plain easyier to access and adjust. Yea the stocker is sufficient if a new type isn't in the budget. To each his own

I just marked one side of my MaxMix PMS with a White-Out pen & the other side w/ a fine-toothed Sharpie to count my turns. I have an almost-new Dremel, why didn't I think of notching it like yoou did? Doh!
