Part Number for Filter 2 Years ago
Need the part number for the fuel filter that goes in the fuel intake tube on a stock carb... took it out to clean it and cleaned it so well i lost it.

Do i need to replace or if someone knows the part number? Called a stealer already and there was quite a bit of silence on the other end....

I say just leave it out. Most, if not all, of us running pumpless have removed it with no ill affects. Mine has been out for a few thousand miles.

You can also go to almost any auto parts store and find a replacement for a couple of bucks.
I like running a filter, though I don't have any real reason why. I opted for the pingel hi flo when I went pumpless. It's pricey, but the filter element is cleanable so unless I loose it (very possible with me) it should be the last filter I'll buy.
By the way I ran the stock filter for 5 years and it still is as good as new.
So I can understand those that are comfortable not running one.

i think he's talking about the little inlet one on the carb, not the one inline on the fuel line.

Well that changes everything
I don't have a clue what I did with that one when I took it out.

I know I trashed mine. I went with a black Russell cleanable inline filter for the main fuel line. Being black you can't even see it in there.

I've run several of the Russell filters on different cars. I like 'em because you can clean & re-use them. Also reasonably priced.
