How do you feel about dropping to the 167.5 while I'm in there?

What was the result of the WOT test?

You can try it. You're probably close with either the 170 or the 167.5.

10-4. Probably should do one thing at a time. That way if something doesn't jive (jive....where did that come from ), I can just go back in and adjust.

Welcome to the clinic byronp

You should start a seperate thread so that people can keep track of your questions and help you better. It gets confusing when there are multiple people asking on the same thread.

EMBARRASSING update (But, after all, I am here for your comic relief). Sorry, it's just how it go's sometimes. I am fairly positive that I got a bad tank of GAS. Musky threw that out some post back , but I haven't gotten bad fuel in a LONG time.

Fueled up friday morning on the way to work (Shell, really like it) as I was on reserve, and it immediately started running better (can't remember where I got the last tank, out of town). Rode about 80 miles last night, lots of stop and go, and she was perfect. A-1 power, perfect idle, no acting up on warm ups.

Now I just feel stupid about all the questions, as she is back to her old self. I do want to install the bigger N&S before too long, but it runs so good right now, I just want to ride. Thanks guys, I'll TRY not to be (Too much of a ) burden anymore.BB

Re:Need Advise from carb guru 1 Year, 7 Months ago
Hello again everyone. Very good information in this topic. I am partway through my re-jetting using the advice you all gave me in another topic. I just had a few more questions if anyone could help me out.

For a reminder, I am putting on the Barons BAK and rejetting with their kit.

I have put the main at 170 as Musky and Doc suggested. Barons recommends 172.5 if you have changed pipes and they have baffles. Mine are Cobra Speedster Slashdowns with very little baffles in them. What is the difference between 170 and 172.5?

I hear people talking about the Accelerator adjustment screw, is this something that I should be looking at making changes to as well while the carb is off?

Thanks again for your help.

Rusty

172.5 - 170 = 2.5 is the difference.

The higher the number the richer the jetting.

I doubt that you will need the 172.5 but you'll see when you do the WOT test.
