Got a New Bike..... 4 Years, 12 Months ago
Hey all!
Got a new bike over the weekend. Not sure you will all let me play still but I am
New and I am not to much help when it comes to the tech stuff anyway.
“I know stop staling and tell us what it is.”
My Husband got me a 2006 Warrior it was a great deal and a really great ride.
I have been on it since Sunday and put 2183 miles on it, can’t stop riding.
Don’t get me wrong I still Love my Roadstar and I will miss it. I just can handle this Bike so much better. Both bike’s are 102 but for some reason this bike just handles better for me. It has more power then I will ever use but the guys will think twice about taking me at the light.
Haven't stopped riding long enough to take a picture but will post one, if you
all let me stay and play.

Congrats. That baby will get you 'there' quickly.

As you've already noticed the R* is a bit of a slug compared to the Warrior.

Nice of you to stay within the 'family'. I know I've seen some active Warrior Forums around so you won't be alone if you need help.

Doc

Thank you Doc for be understanding.
I don't think anyone else is.
I have to say I am really enjoying my new ride.
I still have my R* but I don't think for much longer.
I have been to the warrior forum and they have been real
nice but I really like you all a lot so I will stop in from
time to time...
Thanks again...

Hey Chris, Congrats! Still a roadie, just a bit different. Always figured if I decided to venture into a 2nd bike for some performance playtime a Warrior would be the one. Can't you keep the R* too??

Enjoy the new ride, but don't be a stranger.

Ride Safe, speedster

Congrats Chris! I think it's sweet you got a Warrior. I think my bro-in-law is kinda fancy on gettin one of those. They're sweet - post some pics when you start customizing it!

Re:Got a New Bike..... 4 Years, 12 Months ago
Thank you!
Honestly I wasn't going for another bike, I never thought I would
get rid of my R*, I have had it for two years and it has been a great bike.
The difference between the two is I can handle the Warrior so much better.
First of all it is lighter and second it corners with NO effort. I can't say
that about the R*. I would be hurting after a long run on the R* from having to
push it into turns. Even with pushing it I wasn't keeping up. The Warrior you can't get rid of me. I can keep up with traffic, other bikes and the husband.
I'm not in it for the speed, just the handling. I don't have any need to bust it
wide open and even though it can, it will not be with me on it.
As for any mortifications, it doesn't need any. I would like to change the mirrors, as they are a little big for the bike and I would like to put a set of metzeler tires on it, as they are stock.
It already has a custom paint job and everyone seems to love that.
I got it this past Saturday and I already have put over 2000 miles on it and this is not like me.... I use to say the only way to go to one of these out of town events was with a trailer.
I think I could do one of the long runs now, What do you all think?
Pictures are coming, I just have to stay off it long enough to take some.

Cool bike...I like a classic cruiser more but, hey, the Warrior is a hell of a scoot Ride safe and post some pics as you progress through the customization I think we're tough enough to have a Warrior around here

Regards, Ted
