New and looking for suggestions Dyna 3000 1 Year, 10 Months ago
Hello all,

I am new to the forum. I have a 2006 Midnightstar Silverado with V&H short shots. I had a Hypercharger Pro installed at the dealership. They did the jetting. My question is I am about to install the Dyna 3000 and I am wondering if the curve 34a is a good choice. Will I need to do any other adjustments or will the settings be correct that were done at the dealership? I do mostly highway riding. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am relatively new at this stuff.
I am glad I found this place. Seems to have a lot of good reading.

Thanks

You can try both 34a and 36a, see which one fits your riding style, leave each setting for a week or so, just take mental not of the performance differences. Also suggest ya do a hwy mpg check, most dealers jet way too rich, at 65mph on a as much as a straight and windless rd, should be at least 40mpg and as good as 50mpg. there have been some dealer jetting only getting in low 30's or upper 20's and those are way too rich

Thanks Erbman02

Currently I get about 42-45MPG. Although I do get some backfiring that I don't think I should be getting. I will post results once I have it installed. I won't be able to install the Dyna for a couple of weeks until I return home.
I appreciate the help.

swrm I run 34a on both my bikes. Check out the article in the tech tips on how to install it and cut the hole in the battery box. Then do like Erbman said and check them both out and see which you like.
