Anyone get the complete kit from PR
with there special Air Filter. I like how it has the broad side to the wind but it looks like it would sit out wide and pretty low... you know like right where my knee is probably going to want to be. Just wondering if anyone has tried it.
I was going to go with the BAK
since it doesnt cause all the lean running issues a forward facing stack would (I looked at them originally they are SO cool looking) but still allows in plenty of air should the carb
need it. I noticed some of you have used marine filters but i have zero machining abilities or equipment so if i cant do it with a dremel it is not going to happen.
I do currently have the Maxair intake oblong bubble thing. Im assuming i can stretch it over the 42 and it seems like it allows air just as much access to the carb as the BAK and such.
Oh, im going with the 42. I would love to be 45 brothers with flashback but since this is my first project i am going to stick with the wealth of information, being the 42 so that is the size of intake i will be looking for.
Also it seems that most of you run without a fuel pump, in which case it seems like these would be good to get to supply the carb. Will it be enough?
This Stuff from Maxair instead of Fuelpump
High Flow Fuel Inlet: 30.00
Pingle Fuel filter: 36.00
Pingle High Flow Petcock: 115.00
Which all comes in this kit for a bit less money plus the kit has handy clamps and such:
*edited to fix links, they should work now*
