05 R* seems to be stuttering>>> 1 Year, 6 Months ago

Acceleration seems fine...low rpm and high rpms seem fine but at 55 mph on a gentle incline or flat surface I perceive a slight stutter...not sure if it's a misfire (just did new plugs NGK OEM...torqued per specs)...use name brand gas...
Just curious of anyone else has experienced this and if you have any idea where I might start chasing it down...I first noticed it Monday in the Poconos and thought that changing the plugs would solve it...
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards, Ted

Mine started doing the same thing recently. I noticed it right after I rejetted. WOT test was good, bike runs great. Just has a studder' when you try to hold it real steady and than just barely start backing off the throttle. I'm wondering if dropping the needle to the 3rd slot will help... seems like it's getting to much fuel when this happens. I'm sure one of the carb guru's will jump in and help

You need to ask for a pay raise.

I have two choices when it comes to pulling off the carb...one do it myself and then pay someone to fix the original problem plus what I break or two...just have someone fix the problem and skip what I break
Maybe some day when I have more time to learn this stuff I will feel more confident cracking off the carb and doing the adjustments

I've noticed this too. I just assumed the carb was in it's transition point where the pilot circuit and needle where starting to join in with each other. I have no doubt noticed the same thing but it does change or go away completely if you richen up the pilot circuit.
My bike has a weird idle.
It goes patato patato patato patato and then skips to pat pat pat pat and then back to patato patato patato patato.
patato patato patato patato patato patato patato patato
pat pat pat pat pat pat pat pat
patato patato patato patato patato patato patato patato
Makes me hungry just listening to it.

Post edited by: n5ifi, at: 2007/06/19 19:09
