#329599 FauxRider (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 21 Barnett Cables HSR 42 1 Year, 5 Months ago   Ordered +3 Barnett cables from Maxair for my HSR 42. I can get one or the other on but not both. I have them adjusted to full length. Or should I ditch the push cable? Still seems odd that it is adjusted to full length. Shouldn't the cables be too long to install, then adjust them? Also the elbow at the control housing is not the same as stock so when I adjust my brake lever the mirror is in the way. The cables should be 100% stock at the upper end. the differance from stock should be the extra length and the differant bottom end for the differant carb. You can leave the idle (push) cable off if you wish. It is simply a safety factor should something happen to prevent the normal spring return. A friend who has a 750 Vulcan was 150 miles from home and the throttle cable broke! he was able to take it off and switch places for the idle cable and come home! Should bolt right up. Dump the push cable....redundant. That's what the useless kill switch is for.
