OK, this is getting wierd. Just checked the pilot and it's marked 100! Now I'm starting to wonder if this is the original carb. Can anyone decipher the # on it? It's 4WM1 02 K093

OK, just Googled it and can find 4WM1 00, but not the 02?? The 4WM1 00 checks out for my bike, but would like to know what the 02 is all about? Could it just be a revised # that Yama uses?

Look at this diagram to make sure your looking at the right jet. There is a 100 jet, but it isn't your pilot. It is #39 in the diagram. Your pilot is #40. Hope that helps.

stock is a 165. But if you are going to replace the air box with something less restrictive, either a 167.5 or a 170 should do. But I would also suggest you do a mod to the stock pipes to open them up some to let the gases escape as well, and remove the AIS.

Keep in mind, if the temps are much colder than it is in your normal riding season, it could be a bugger to tune. Really need to judge performance on a fully warmed engine from riding it, not sitting at idle, also final adjustment of idle speed needs to be done on a fully warmed engine.

OK, my mistake, I was looking at the starter jet, but the pilot isn't marked either. I can only guess that whoever changed the main must have changed the pilot as well seeing that neither one is marked!

Erbman02, I have done the stage one mod to my stock pipes, but can't afford to put new pipes on ...yet! AIS was removed before I bought the bike.

I wonder if it had a different set of pipes on it before you bought it, and they put stocks back on it , so they could sell the after markets? Yamaha shops are notorious for installing only a set of pipes for people and then throwing a big arse main jet in the carb....even though you shouldnt unless you do an airbox mod with the pipes.

I think you need to start looking at what your doing more closely your misidentifying jets and I think your overlooking the size markings also I've never encountered jets that weren't stamped for size it would make using them impossible .
