stock pilot is a 35, you have to take it out to see the number, it's written on it's side, really, really small. all Mikuni jets are stamped, their logo is a box in a box and sometimes also a "RR" if it does not have those markings on the main or pilot jet it is not Mikuni. look in tech articles, there is a color diag. where these jets are located

I'll pull the pilot out and have a look at it and see if I can find the marking, but the main DEFINATELY does not have any marking on it anywhere. I went over it with a magnifying glass and couldn't see anything. I'll try and take a pic of the jets and post 'em up, maybe Coalstoves will see something I'm "overlooking"

OK, here's a shot of the main. Don't know about you, but I can't see anything stamped into it. I did pull the pilot and it is stamped 35 on the side like Erbman said. Don't know why the main has no marking?

Re:Why the HUGE jet? 1 Year, 4 Months ago
Thanx again for the offer Mr_Shamrock, but I think I'm going to need something a little larger than stock for the air cleaner swap I'm doing. Already have the Barons jet kit, so I should be good to go. This thread got a little off track when I tore into the carb and realised that someone else had already been in there and I started posting what I was finding. Guess it doesn't really matter what WAS in there, just what WILL be in when I'm done!

True - a word of advice, unless they are different than the Dynojet kits the instructions ask you to install too big of a jet. I think dynojet asks for a 190 or 195 and that is too big for a simple exhaust/ air cleaner upgrade. I think my last one ended up with a 180 or 185 in it and it ran great! Plugs were nice and tan!

I think they all tell you to go bigger than you really need to....jet kits...stealerships... thier motto.."its easier to clean a carboned engine, than replace a motor at thier expense that was to lean".
