i have a 1600 , with vh longshots and stock airbox with kn filter if anybody else has this setup could u please give me ur setting on ur needle and jets and pms screw, i have been adjusting mine for days and im getting rich all around my jetting are in the profile

OLD SETTINGS
160 main idk
35 pilot stock
1.75 pms
needle 3rd slot from blunt running rich , sooty pipes and plugs, 32-37 mpg mix riding , slight choke for 10 sec needed for start after that no choke


NEW SETTINGS

160 main idk brand
35 pilot stock
2 1/4 on pms
needle 2nd slot from blunt end , little less soot in pipes and plugs, 38-41 mpg mixed riding, choke for 15 sec , half choke for 2 miles, then no choke, but now it kinda (stalls,cuts out, bogs) whatever u wanna say just on take off but after about 10-15 ride no more problems

am i good on my setting now is the new settings a normal form of operation for the roadstar as in it needs this much time to run normal
just tryin to make sure i dont run lean, i here ppl get 43-47mpg im almost there but i dont wanna go to far if i was to get to lean would this bike run good for a 100 mile trip un noticed

Need to know the bran of jets your using first. The Mikuni has the little square box on the top and the jet size is stamped there.

it doesnt have the stamp the 160 is on the end but i took it to the dealer and they said it look big for a 160 so i have no clue sry , i know the needle has 6 grooves total

Well I will bet it is a Mikuni and the needle is a Barons I'll bet. What jets do you have on hand? I know you are at 1100 ft above sea level.

none id have to go to the stealership and i ask for stock jet based on my mods and pipes and stock box doesnt need a rejet so i wanted the 165 stock but they didnt have it they had 170, he said he could order stock 165 for $16 and stock needle for $34 thats a rip in my opinion i thought i saw on bikebandit.com main jet was $4.50 + shipping, what could i do with a 170 mikuni, could i change needle settings to lean it out if to big, or do a POORMAN BAK

Hell IF it comes to that I might have a stock main laying around that I can send. Hell that would be what 41 cents shipping? Maybe 82 cents?

Get with Curt, I think he is gonna send you multiple jets. Allowing you to fine tune what you need.

And I think with not airbox changes other than K&N you should be stock jetting just PMS adjustment.
