I had the same problem as coalstoves and yes it was the o ring for the seat. I would turn off petcock and as it used up gas the idle would clean right up.E-10 gas from previous owner was the problem.

yeah, that idle adjuster seems like it kind of binds, I never cared for it, was always a pain to adjust it. But you are always better off to turn it in a little to create a faster idle when you first do carb work. it will usually make it easier to start up the bike, if it's set too low when you do your first jetting, then you could end up not starting the bike because there is not enough air going thru the venturi to create the vacuum to fuel up thru the pilot ckt

I adjusted the idle and it seems to still have the same problem, i took off the BAK to see what was going on i have to give the bike a little gas to keep it going . a little white smoke did come out of the carb but im sure thats normal because of the mixture. anythign else you guys recommend really do not want to take it to the dealer!

You might try a whole can of seafoam in an almost full tank of fuel and ride the shit out of her

to tell the truth i had that problem a couple of years ago and i ran some seafoam threw it and the problem went away all i can figure is my valves were gummed up i ran the whole can in it but you can chose what you want to do, i still do use it about every 6 months or so just to clean it out from the crap gas we get

Needle valve seat O-ring,--- Did you try the petcock off Test

When I replaced mine I looked at it closely once removed an can tell you first hand all the seafoam in the world wasn’t going to cause the rubber to regenerate itself.

The other factor that makes this O-ring critical is the fact the seat is not threaded it drops in place and seals by compression caused by a little set screw on only one side it is prone to failure and a search will turn up several cases of what you describe cured by this.

Considering the work you performed recently there could be a number of things to look at and seems Erb's covering them with you . Me I'd be ordering the Seat Set to be ready.

My first thought was vacuum leak but I would also check the float level using the method in the manual.

just took it to the dealer to let them deal with it. since i have a warranty on it hopefully it will be taken care of at no charge, im hoping since there is that crack in the carb they just replace it not sure if they will though.
