Just Another Jetting Question 8 Months ago
Ok so I'm following the re-jet procedure step by step and all is well until I remove the 4 screws and try lift the bowl straight up as described in the re-jet procedure but it won't come off! It's loose and I can raise it about an 1/8 of an inch on 3 corners but the fourth seems to have something holding it down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not the gasket holding it down? There should be nothing to hold it back I don't think, I had probes getting stock screws out, but apart form that nil issues

I don't think so it feels like something more than that. I'll try it again tomorrow. Thanks

I did the same thing the first time... The carb heater tab gets in the way & has to be loosened & swung out of the way. I was SO close to snapping mine off by accident, but then I'm pretty ham-fisted sometimes, especially when dealing with REALLY small parts. Thankfully none to worry about in the carb, but tiny ball bearings are my nemesis...

Well I'm happy it wasn't just me I felt so damned stupid when I saw what was causing the holdup. BTW that is one good looking road* you've got there.
