Mikuni carb 6 Years, 2 Months ago
With all the problems I'm having with my stock carb I was thinking of going to the Mikuni flatside. I have a line on one brand new cheap! I have a question though, what about the TPS (throttle position sensor) on the stock carb? Does it transfer to the Mikuni? or does it get eliminated some how? I know they use it to determine ignition timimg advance so I'm not sure how you would eliminate it. Thanks.

Geezer,

Go to the Baron's Accessories web site. Look up the Mikuni HSR 42/45 mm flatslide carburetor, then click on the installation instructions and there is an explanation of how to handle the TPS switch when changing to the Mikuni HSR 42/45 mm flatslide carburetor.

Good luck and ride safe!
