after reading all the post on the board...i'm lost as to using my dynajet kit. i have a '05 1700 with stage 1(drilled)stock exhaust & high five air cleaner/ K&N filter. with the different jet kits being used by other members, i just can't decide which main jet and needle modification i should use... after much thought i have chosen...175 main jet 37.5 pilot jet clip on the 3rd setting of the needle & 3 turns out on pms. my main concern is ...is this too lean...since this jet is smaller than the stock 182.5? i'm just now putting the assy back together and haven't finished. just checking with forum members to get your thoughts. thanks for any input.

You are correct, it's probably a bit on the lean side with a 175 DJ (which is not a bad thing). We've been recommending to start with the 180 DJ and the clip on the third groove.

No harm done. Try the 175 DJ and see how it runs.

with this setup... i'm getting 41 mpg. it backfires when cold and smooths out when warm. i've moved the pms to 2 1/2 turns out... still has black exhaust ...this may improve this summer when the weather warms up..runs great & it passes the wot test.
