OK, I am lost, lets say that the bike is setup correct to start, then you play with the airbox and filter, now you are allowing more air so I would think that this will crate a LEAN condition, since we increased air but did not increaed gas, how is it possible that he may be rich (too much gas) Sorry it this is a stupid question, but I guess I need to ask

The bike might be too rich to begin with. Roadies can fool you because they run great too rich.

If it is setup correctly you are right. If you are talking about a bike stock ...they come rich from the factory same as all that sell air kits they advise you to rich settings as the lean ones will damage your bike quicker but if you think about it a bike too lean runs chitty and pings so you should be able to adjust before harm is done and if you look at what his plugs read he was not lean to start with and there are no stupid questions asked just stupid unasked questions ....Coug
