Gas mileage blows 1 Year ago
Gone through almost 2 tanks of gas and only gone 250 miles on my 07'. Everything still intact (AIS, stock pipes, factory carb settings, etc). Getting real close to "making it my own" and the warranty be damned. Using Seafoam versus their "product".

Dude if I were you I'd take the bike back to the dealer and have them fix the problem, it's not just something you have done... Just for the sake of argument how long have you had the bike?

Re:Gas mileage blows 1 Year ago
When mine was all stock I averaged around 37mpg. Your not getting that. After my ais removal, pipes, open breather, and rejet I average 43-44 mixed driving.
Is yours a 'new' 07? ...only 250 miles total? There is a break in period where it will get a little better but if your only getting 125 miles or so a tank (25-30 mpg)...something isnt right.

My bone stock `06 Silverado gets 44mpg, averages 180 miles or so before I hit reserve. Sounds like something is out of adjustment......

Figuring the AIS has a bit to do with it. Going to look at it this weekend and figure a plan of attack and go from there. Also gonna call the dealer and do that dance ONE time. Then it's my turn.

Re:Gas mileage blows 1 Year ago
I just read some reminiscing by Erbman regarding someone he knew(a mechanic he respected). This individual told Erbman, that as many as 4 out of 5 Roadies, had manifold leaks right out of the crate.....that'd sure make for some crappy mileage. You could check that, without voiding the warranty, and if it shows a leak, the dealer could fix it on his dime.
