chriscogs from Texas. What mods have been done to the bike? Did the problem start after a mod or just happen? Need to know what you have on the bike pipes, air cleaner and jetting if you know them.

No it started slow like the plugs were fouling. It would clear up on a longer ride, but round town it acts up. Now it all the time. A tech friend said it might be coils n wires. All original 15,000 8yrs old? Symptoms tell me it fuel. Do I have to take the carb apart to clean well? Ran sea foam through the winter months
Still baffled... But will start with the fuel system g
Thx guys. More input the better

Sounds a lot like a clogged emulsion tube (Main jet holder) to me. It can pull fuel up with the holes clogged, but it does not aspirate correctly, so you get slobber down the intake instead of fog.

Just my $0.02. The ignition should already be advanced pretty far at that point, so I wouldn't think it would break down at a certain opening like that. Does it do it under load, and at a standstill with no load?

Had that very same problem with my bike a year or so ago, after removing that plunger and piston under the white cap on the carb, cleaning it, then using seafoam in my gas it all cleaned up, now I know it was SVS (sticky valve syndrome) by the way

If you have the AIS still on check all your vacuum lines. If it is removed and you have a rubber cap on the manifold vacuum tube check it for cracks and leaks.
